Islamabad: ANF foils bid to smuggle heroin to Muscat

ISLAMABAD: The Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) personnel have seized one kilogram heroin from a Muscat-bound passenger’s shoes at Islamabad’s Benazir Bhutto International Airport, Geo News reported Monday.

According to the ANF sources, the accused carrying heroin in his shoes was leaving for Muscat when the ANF personnel arrested him and recovered drugs at the Islamabad airport.

The accused is the resident of Mardan. The sources also revealed that the culprit was carrying 20 heroin-filled capsules in his stomach, therefore, he was shifted to hospital to recover them through surgical procedure.
