FAISALABAD: An oil market in Faisalabad caught fire in the wee hours of Wednesday, engulfing more than 30 shops.
According to rescue sources, the incident took place when a fire broke out in a godown of the oil market located in Karkhana Bazar, blowing up the drums of oil which created panic in the area.
Ten fire brigades reached the site of the incident and extinguished the fire after three-hour long struggle, however, more than 30 shops were gutted.
Rescue sources said that initial probe report suggested that the incident occurred due to a short circuit.
