PESHAWAR: Expressing disappointment over the failure to implement an earlier order, the Peshawar High Court (PHC) has summoned secretary information on August 31.
A two member division bench of the PHC comprising of Chief Justice Dost Muhammad Khan and Justice Qaiser Rasheed was hearing a petition pertaining to opening video sharing website YouTube in Pakistan.
The petitioner informed the court that people were accessing YouTube through proxy software. PHC Chief Justice remarked that the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has been unsuccessful in filtering blasphemous, objectionable content and failed to implement court orders.
