Police arrest escaped prisoner from Katti Pahari

KARACHI: Police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested the prisoner who had escaped from Karachi City Court, Geo News reported Tuesday.

According to Superintendent of Police, Tariq Dharejo, the prisoner named Sajjad was rounded up from Katti Pahari area of the metropolis.

Sajjad accused of drug peddling was the eighth prisoner who had escaped in the city during the last seven days and thus far is the only one who has been arrested.

Last week, four prisoners escaped from the vicinity of the City Court, while on July 11 three prisoners escaped from the lock-up of the Anti Terrorism Court.
