ISLAMABAD: Senate Standing Committee on Defense has demanded of the government to make public the report of Abbottabad Commission.
The Senate Standing Committee on Defence and Defence production on Wednesday discussed the various aspects of Abbottabad commission report including the committee's plan action for the next six months.
During an in-camera briefing here the senate's Standing Committee on Defence and Defence Production Chairman, senator Mushahid Hussain Syed demanded the submission of Abbottabad Commission Report before people and Parliament of Pakistan.
Later talking to media outside the Parliament house, Mushahid termed the Abbottabad incident as a 'collective failure'. He said that such lapse should be improved so that it could not be happened in future.
He further told media person that the suggestions submitted by the defence committee should be acted upon.
Mushaid felicitated women paratroopers of armed forces on completion of their first batch and said that contribution of women in National defence was appreciateable.
The meeting was attended by Senators Chaudhry Shujjat Hussain, acting chaiirman senate Sabir Ali Baloch, leader of the house in the senate Raja Muhammad Zafarul Haq Farhatullah Babar, Mrs. Sehar Kamran, Sardar Ali Khan, Mushahid Hussain Sayed, Syeda Sughra Imam, Colnel (R) Syed Tahir Hussain Mushahadi and senior officials of the ministry.
