SUKKUR: One more body of a terrorist along with two jackets packed with explosives has been recovered from the ISI Headquarter, Sukkur which was attacked by militants on Wednesday.
According to security sources, one more terrorist’s body was found in the parking lot of ISI compound, increasing the tally of terrorists’ death in yesterday’s attack to four. Two jackets stuffed with explosives were also recovered from the compound during a search.
Meanwhile, funeral prayers of three officials – Major Zeeshan, Havildar Aziz and Naik Asif Ali – who were killed in the suicide bombings and shooting assault were offered today in Panu Aqil Cantonment. Their bodies were later dispatched to their ancestral areas.
On Wednesday, the terrorists had rammed an explosives-laden vehicle into the building of ISI Headquarters, Sukkur. Afterwards, two suicide bombers also detonated explosives strapped to their bodies.
On the following day of the attack, the site of the incident was sealed by the security authorities whose investigative personnel remained engaged in collection of forensic evidence.
SSP Sukkur Irfan Baloch said that a number of suspects were rounded up in a search operation launched in various parts of Sukkur following the assault by terrorists.
