At least 70 factory workers end up in hospital after food poisoning

GUJRANWALA: At least 70 factory workers landed in the hospital after consuming unhygienic food here in Gujranwala, Geo News reported.

As per details the workers of a local factory here felt sick and were rushed to District Headquarter Hospital after they were served "Aloo Gosht", a meat and potatoes curry, for Sehri, the predawn meal before starting a Ramadan fast.

Hospital sources said they received about 70 cases of food poisoning, however all of the patients were doing fine and none of them was critical.

According to experts food-borne illness usually arises from improper handling, preparation, or food storage. Good hygiene practices before, during, and after food preparation can reduce the chances of contracting a sickness.
