KARACHI: Two alleged target killers were arrested, and several others held during an early operation in Patel Para.
According to Rangers sources, security personnel conducted raids in different parts of Patel Para and adjoining areas a before dawn, following reports about the presence of criminals in the area.
Roads leading to Lasbela and Gurumandir were closed for traffic during the 5 hour operation causing a bumper-to-bumper traffic jam on alternate routes.
The operation resulted in the arrest of 9 people including 2 target killers who have been identified as Tariq aka Don and Asim Mirza while arms and ammunition were confiscated from their possession. Those detained are currently being interrogated.
A total of 300 Rangers personnel including lady-officers took part in the operation.
After the operation concluded, aggrieved residents of the area attacked media personnel who were present in the area for coverage.
