BHC rejects Musharraf’s bail plea in Akbar Bugti murder case

QUETTA: The Balochistan High Court (BHC) on Tuesday rejected the bail request of former dictator and president General (retd) Pervez Musharraf in the Akbar Bugti murder case, Geo News reported Tuesday.

A two-judge bench of the BHC heard the petition today and issued the order.

During the hearing, the court turned down the bail request of Pervez Musharraf in the murder case of Baloch leader Akbar Bugti.

Earlier on July 15, Judge Muhammad Ismail Baloch of Anti Terrorism Court, Quetta had ordered the crime branch police to produce the main accused, former president Pervez Musharraf, in the Akbar Bugti murder case before the bench in the next hearing.

Akbar Bugti was killed in a military operation in Balochistan in 2006 when Musharraf was the president of the country and army chief at the same time.
