BSEK announces SSC exam results

KARACHI: Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) on Thursday declared the results of SSC part-II annual examinations for science group and SSC part I and II for deaf candidates.

According to the statistics of SSC part-11 (Matriculation science group) exam result, a total of 138121 candidates were registered, 137968 appeared in the examination and 99652 passed it. The pass percentage stood 72.14.

The breakup of the grades remained as A-1 14055, A 25183, B 27929, C 22785, D 9371 and E 329. The statistics of the result of SSC II (deaf candidates) examination is: a total of 122 candidates were registered, 118 appeared in the examination and 110 passed it. The pass percentage remained 93.23.

The breakup of the grades recorded as: first division 98, second division 10 and third division 2.

Nida Shams of Dewa Academy for Deaf Gulshan-e-Iqbal secured first position with 749 marks (88.11%), Zainab Ali Akbar of Dewa Academy for Deaf Gulshan-e-Iqbal got second position with 730 marks (85.88%)and Maryam Ali of Dewa Academy for Deaf Gulshan-e-Iqbal achieved third position with 721 marks (84.82).

The statistics of the result of SSC part-1 (deaf candidates) examination is: a total of 111 candidates were registered, 109 appeared in the examination and 99 passed it.
