CHITRAL: Torrential rains continued lashing parts of Chitral for the second consecutive day, causing flood in Reshan nullah and destroying as many as 120 houses besides washing away 6 bridges and many roads, Geo News reported Friday.
According to police, flood water destroyed many mosques and completely destroyed 80 houses as rain continued for the second consecutive day.
The police said that local people climbed to mountains to save their lives while power supply to many areas was suspended as the flood water uprooted electricity pylons.
Upper Chitral area also lost its contact with the district headquarters, the police added.
