Suspected Daesh terrorists arrested from Sialkot, Gujranwala

SIALKOT/GUJRANWALA: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) on Monday said it had arrested nine suspected terrorists belonging to the banned Daesh group.

The nine suspects — six held from Daska tehsil of Sialkot and three from Nowshera Virkan tehsil of Gurjanwala district — were presented in an anti-terrorism court today where the judge remanded them into CTD custody for 10 days.

CTD officials said that the suspects were planning a major terrorist attack in Sialkot.

A large cache of weapons and ammunition was also recovered from the suspects arrested from Lari Adda area of Daska.
