Two girls injured in Faisalabad acid attack

FAISALABAD: Two girls were hospitalized after receiving burn wounds in an acid attack, Geo News reported.

Rescue sources said that the incident took place in Awanwala Muhallad where family of Allah Ditta was sleeping when an unknown man threw acid over the rooftop of their house.

Both the girls received burn injuries and were taken to the Civil Hospital for treatment where medics say the victims were in stabile condition.

Father of the children told media that his wife had died and he intended to remarry. He suspected involvement of his ex-inlaws in the acid attack. Police were investigating the case in light of his statement. The girls were identified as Faiza, 13 and Kashaf,5.
