Explosive-laden auto rickshaw seized in Quetta

QUETTA: Police on Monday foiled a terror bid by seizing an explosive-laden auto rickshaw and defusing it, Geo News reported.

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) operations Quetta told Geo News that an auto rickshaw had been parked near petrol pump in Hazar Gunji area near Western bypass.

He further said that police patrolling team found a suspicious rickshaw and informed the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) that confirmed upon checking the presence of explosives in the vehicle connected to a remote control.

Later, the BDS team defused the explosives which according to the DIG Operations weighed 200 kilograms.
