ATC grants 7-day police remand of Sikandar’s wife Kanwal

ISLAMABAD: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Monday granted seven-day police remand of gunman Sikandar’s wife Kanwal, Geo News reported.

ATC Judge Atiq-ur-Rahman was hearing the case when Kanwal was produced before the court under high security.

Earlier on Sunday, duty magistrate issued a one-day transit remand for Kanwal. The accused was presented before the magistrate’s court located at the F-8 sector in Islamabad.

Meanwhile, a three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhamamd Chaudhry will hear the suo moto notice of the standoff, which took place in the federal capital on Thursday.
