ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed have agreed to put forward new names for the chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) slot, Geo News reported.
PM Nawaz Sharif on Thursday met Shah at his residence to offer ‘fateha’ for his sister who passed away in the recent past.
Speaking to media after the meeting, Khursheed Shah said both the leaders have agreed to give new names for NAB chairman. He said they agreed to drop the names of Rana Bhagwan Das and Khawaja Zaheer and will give one or two new names each.
He said it was too late to decide the name of NAB chairman, adding it should be finalized soon.
Shah further said chief election commissioner will also be brought with consensus without making it personal issue.
