Lahore police claim killing outlaw with Rs500,000 headmoney

LAHORE: A proclaimed offender with Rs500,000 bounty on his head was killed in an exchange of fire with the police here on Friday night, Geo News reported.

The police claimed that an armed and dangerous, Atique, who engaged in a gunfight with police in Sabzazar Colony, was eventually killed as the lawmen outgunned the outlaw.

According to police, Atique was wanted for multiple counts of manslaughter, assault, aggravated assault, kidnapping, armed robberies, rape, weapons offenses, possession of illegal arms, etc.

They also added that Atique, on top of being a cop-killer, was also fugitive, who had escaped from Cantt Police custody with the help of his fellow felons a while ago.

He had a bounty worth Rs500, 000 placed on him.
