QUETTA: The Superintendent of Police (Sariab) narrowly escaped an armed attack on his vehicle here on Tuesday night, Geo News reported.
Reports have it that a number of unknown gunmen who were lying in wait opened fire at SP Basheer Ahmed Barohi's official automobile in Mian Ghundi area injuring one of his security guards before cops shot and injured two of them in a retaliatory fire.
The rest of the shooters were gone before the police could even give them a decent chase as soon as they saw two of their comrades falling down.
The police arrested the injured attackers and rushed them to a nearby hospital, where one of them died while the other is said to be critical.
