QUETTA: Doctors in the city continue their strike in government hospitals in protest to the kidnapping of their senior colleague Dr Munaf Tareen.
The Young Doctors Association (YDA) continues its strike in the city, while the PMA has summoned a meeting of its core committee. PMA President Dr Sultan Tareen told Geo News that the meeting would deliberate on the future course of action.
Meanwhile, OPDs at government hospitals remain open but there are no doctors to provide treatment to patients. The YDA says doctors will not perform their duties in OPDs but will continue to provide emergency and other services.
Dr Munaf Tareen was kidnapped three days ago when he was returning to his residence from a private hospital in Pishin Stop.
