Accused couple remanded for Karachi teen rape-murder case

KARACHI: The couple, accused of murdering a 13-year-old girl, has been physically remanded to police custody for ten days, Geo News reported.

An Anti Terrorism Court here remanded the accused husband and wife for further interrogation.

The girl, who was kidnapped for ransom, was raped and killed and her body was dumped at Clifton beach.

According to sources, the investigation officer informed the court that the accused duo had confessed to demanding a ransom worth Rs1 million and strangling the girl to death.

In Monday’s hearing the court also directed the police to arrest two more accused namely Shahid and Faisal, who absconded after the apprehension of main suspects.
