MQM denounces Rangers raid on Landhi office

KARACHI: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Tuesday heavily criticized Pakistan Rangers Sindh for raiding one of its offices in Landhi as part of ongoing targeted operation in Karachi.

Speaking at a press conference Dr Sagheer Ahmed flanked by Amir Khan and others, said that the paramilitary force vandalized MQM’s Landhi office and tore down Altaf Hussain’s pictures besides arresting over 15 activists during what they said was an illegal raid.

He claimed that the one-sided operation was being conducted in the city despite claims that no political party would be targeted in the action.

The MQM leaders said that Altaf Hussain was the first to support operation against criminal elements.
