LAHORE: Punjab's law minister, Rana Sanaullah, Wednesday said there was no doubt judges, prosecutors, investigators, and witnesses were harassed to obstruct justice, Geo News reported.
"It is doubtless that judiciary and all those who are part of the judicial system are threatened with dire consequences to change the outcome of the trials at all levels”, said he in a statement issued here.
He said the granting of bail to an accused, who was facing trial for attacking Sri Lankan cricket team, despite hard evidence, was a glaring example of this.
Sanaullah added that the government had moved the court against his release on bail.
The Punjab minister also took a strong exception to the term of "Punjabi Taliban."
"This is a "hate-term" and has been coined out of prejudice for Punjab", said he.
