ZIARAT: The construction and revamping of the residency of Quaid-e-Azam in its earlier shape has at last started here after three months since it was devastated in a terrorist attack, Geo News reported.

Quaid-e-Azam residency located in the beautiful valley of Ziarat in Balochistan was destroyed in a militants’ attack on June 15 this year and the federal government had announced building up this national monument in its real shape within three months.

The government after making this announcement had slept over its pledge, which better late than never at last after three and a half months woke up, and the work on the project kicked off with the removal of the debris to finally enter into the construction and revamping phase. The provincial government has allocated a sum of Rs70 million for the project.

Ziarat Deputy Commissioner, Talha Hussain Faisal told Geo News that the masonry work would be completed before the snowfall season, while the wood work would be taken up later.
Sources said that the construction and revamping of the Quaid’s residency expected to be completed by August 14.
