MQM’s London Rabita Committee restored hours after suspension

KARACHI: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leadership restored the Rabita (coordination) Committee of its London Secretariat hours after suspending it with immediate effect without making the reasons behind the decisions public on Friday.

In a statement issued here, the MQM said that all members of the committee including its interim convener Nadeem Nusrat will resume their former duties with immediate effect.

Workers and office-bearers of the party had been directed not to contact the London Committee members including Nusrat in an earlier statement. Manzoor Ahmed was nominated as the temporary spokesman for the committee.
