Rasheed Ghazi murder: Court grants 14-day judicial remand of Musharraf
ISLAMABAD: A local court on Friday approved a plea seeking 14-day judicial remand for former military ruler Gen (redt) Pervez Musharraf in the murder case of Lal Masjid cleric Abdul Rasheed Ghazi.

However, the court exempted the former dictator, who is detained in his Chak Shehzad villa, from personal appearance due to security reasons.

Musharraf was arrested upon his return on charges related to his period in office, including assassination of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto, veteran Baloch leader Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti and Abdul Rasheed Ghazi. He has also been been facing a case for deposing judges of higher judiciary.
