According to police, unidentified assailants opened fire on the Hospital Road in Khuzdar that killed Station House Officer (SHO) Nisar Ahmed Mengal.
After killing the officer, the culprits fled from the scene.
The body was shifted to the hospital while police started investigation of the killing.
