Defence Secretary tenders unconditional apology to Supreme Court

ISLAMABAD: Defence Secretary on Tuesday tendered his unconditional apology to the Supreme Court here, Geo News reported.

Earlier, the Supreme Court of Pakistan had issued a contempt of court notice for not holding the local bodies’ elections in cantonment board areas as per direction of the apex court.

Secretary Defence Lt-Gen (retd) Asif Yasin Malik submitting his reply to the notice regretted for not holding the local bodies’ elections in the cantonment board areas despite court orders and tendered his unconditional apology to the court.
