ISLAMABAD: Foreign Office spokesman Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry on Tuesday termed the Amnesty International report on drone strikes timely and added its contents were exactly the same to what Pakistan has been saying all these years, Geo News reported.
Talking to Geo News, Foreign Office spokesman Chaudhry said that the issue of drone attacks has now come to the fore and it was being internationally recognized that the results of these attacks have not been productive.
Aizaz Chaudhry said the prime minister would be raising the issue of drone strike during talks with US leadership. He said that ordinary civilians have been falling victims to the drone strikes and the world opinion against it was emerging.
Pakistan has been recording its protests after every drone attack and the country's leadership has already raised this issue at every national and international forum, he said.
FO spokesman said that Pakistan’s stance on drone attacks was finding favour and support from all quarters now.
