PESHAWAR: Peshawar High Court (PHC) Chief Justice, Dost Muhammad Khan Friday said that the billionaires were involved in plundering the national assets, while each and every child of the nation has been indebted, unleashing the menace of corruption in society, Geo News reported.
Addressing a judicial officers’ training workshop here, PHC CJ said that the courts were the last rays of hope for the people. He said if the dispensation of justice was deliberately delayed, then we know how to set it in order.
Justice Dost Muhammad Khan said, “If corruption is ‘haram’ (forbidden) for the common man, then it is thousand times ‘haram’ for the judges, corruption has made the foundation of the country hollow, while terrorism has done the rest.”
PHC CJ said that the courts were working in an organized way to control corruption. He said that the court was focused on changes at the provincial level.
