Blast near Peshawar toll plaza wounds three security personnel

PESHAWAR: A bomb explosion close to a security forces vehicle in Peshawar has injured three personnel and damaged their vehicle, police officials said on Sunday.

No loss of life was reported in the roadside bomb blast near the Peshawar Motorway toll plaza.

The bomb damaged the security forces' vehicle, with television footage showing its glass windows completely shattered from the impact of the blast.

Three personnel were slightly injured, but were provided emergency medical care at an ambulance on the spot and were said to be out of danger.

Police officials said the bomb was planted on the roadside and appeared to have been detonated through remote control.
