Karachi: Five killed in violence incidents, 5 accused arrested

KARACHI: Police carried out targeted operation in Dhobi Ghath area of Lyari, arresting five accused of gang wars, meanwhile, five people were also killed in various incidents of violence in the metropolis.

Police said that they arrested five accused of gang wars, who they said were affiliated with Asif Lyari group, after an encounter.

On the other hand, incidents of firing continued in various areas of the metropolis. A 22-year old boy, Imran Jamshed, riding a bike, was shot dead near Qayumabad area of Korangi.

Police said that the boy was worker of a religious party.

Another firing incident took place on Baloch Colony Expressway when unidentified assailants opened fire at a car, killing brother-in-law of a retired rangers officer and injuring him.

A person was killed near New Haji Camp, while a woman was shot dead in Karachi Noor Muhammad Goth area.
