LAHORE: Talks between the government team and Ulema failed due to absence of Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif and other higher-ups in the meeting here on Sunday, Geo News reported.
According to details, Pakistan Ulema Council chairman and member Islamic Ideological Council Allah Hafiz Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi, JUI-S secretary information Maulana Asim Makhdoom, Maulana Younis and other Ulema arrived at Civil Secretariat for talks, however, they left the meeting due to absence of Shahbaz Sharif and other higher-ups.
The government team included provincial ministers Rana Mashood and Mian Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman besides other officials.
