RAWALPINDI: With the security situation improving, life in the city is returning to normalcy, while army deployment and the enforcement of section 144 continued on Tuesday.
Markets and trading centres opened in Rawalpindi Tuesday morning which had been closed following the tragedy during the Asuhra procession. Supplies of daily use items were in short supply at several stores.
Educational institutions, government offices also opened in the entire city including sensitive areas, while the intermediate supplementary examinations under Intermediate Board were being conducted as scheduled.
On the other hand, private educational institutions have decided to continue keeping their institutions closed for security reasons.
Strict security arrangements remain in place at places of worship and the army is still deployed in the city to meet an eventuality.
