RAWALPINDI: Regional Police Officer (RPO) Rawalpindi Umer Hayat told that no one will be allowed to organize rallies except the gathering for Friday prayers, Geo News reported.
While talking to the media men here today, RPO Umer Hayat Lalika said that no rallies are allowed in the city and he has not been informed about any rally being organized. Only Friday gatherings are allowed, he added.
For the security reasons and avoid any untoward situation, more than 5,000 policemen have been deployed across Rawalpindi.
It may be mentioned that Wafaqul Madaris al-Arabia is observing countrywide 'protest day' today against Rawalpindi incident.
All the educational institutes in Islamabad are closed while a rally would be taken out which would start from Lal Mosque and culminate at the Islamabad’s National Press Club after Friday prayers.
