ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has hired a foreign consultant for the auction of 3G license, Geo News reported Monday.
According to PTA spokesman, the consultant’s job will be to spell out the procedure for the said auction besides working out the base price and making a random selection of bidders.
PTA had received five applications from international consultants for provision of services in connection with the auction of 3G license. The PTA chose Value Partner Management Consulting to carry out the process.
The above firm is a consortium consisting of experts from the US, UK, Singapore and Spain.
