DADU: A passenger train hit a rickshaw carrying children on their way to school, killing eight children and the driver near Dadu, Geo News reported Tuesday.
In a horrible accident that occurred in Dadu when a rickshaw and train collided left nine dead and several others injured on Tuesday morning, Geo News reported.
According to details, a rickshaw carrying school children was on its way when the driver attempted to traverse an unmanned railway crossing without seeing fast approaching Shah Nawaz Express near village Balu Lashari in Dadu.
Police officer told that the rickshaw got stuck on the tracks, and the speeding train crashed into it.
As a result of dreadful collision, four children died on the spot and several others sustained injuries. The injured were shifted to hospital in critical condition where five more succumbed to their injuries, raising the toll to nine.
The victims were aged between five and fifteen years.
