QUETTA: Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) Sunday decided to continue it protests in the government hospitals here even after the release of the kidnapped cardiologist, Dr. Munaf Tareen, Geo News reported.
Balochistan PMA president Dr. Sultan Tareen said that he hasn’t yet decided to end the protest strike and added that their protest was not only for the recovery of Dr. Munaf Tareen, bit it also aimed at ensuring security and safety of the doctors in the province.
Dr. Sultan Tareen said that a meeting of Balochistan PMA and other doctors’ organizations has been called at 11.00 A.M. today to decide about continuing the strike or making some relaxation in this regard.
It may be recalled that Balochistan PMA and Young Doctors Association have been observing strike in OPDs of the government hospitals in the city since the abduction of Dr. Munaf Tareen two and a half month ago.
