Lahore police arrest 12 students raiding Punjab University hostel

LAHORE: Police arrested 12 students during a raid at a hostel of the Punjab University.

Punjab University sources said the police raided hostel no.16 of the university in the early hours of Monday and took away 12 students with them.

Punjab University Islami Jamiat Tulaba (IJT) spokesman said that the patience of the students should not be put on test and urged upon the authorities to immediately release the arrested students.

The spokesman warned that the Punjab government would have to face the harsh consequences of such actions.
