Accountability court summons Asif Zardari

RAWALPINDI: The Accountability Court has summoned former president Asif Ali Zardari, Geo News reported.

The accountability court judge Muhamamd Bashir was hearing five NAB references against former president Zardari here on Monday.

Farooq H Naek, the counsel of ex-president, said his client faces security threats.

The references against Asif Zardari were reopened as after his presidential immunity ended and NRO was declared null and void.

It is expected that the former president will be indicted on next hearing in Polo Ground Reference.

The hearing was adjourned till December 23.

NAB references

The accountability court had reopened references against former President Asif Ali Zardari.

The references against Zardari were deferred as he enjoyed immunity during his tenure as the President of Pakistan.

The court had earlier released several of the co-accused in the references against Asif Ali Zardari.
