CJP visits SC Lahore Registry amid stiff security

LAHORE: Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Tasadduq Hussain Jillani since assumption of his office for the first time visited Supreme Court Lahore Registry amid stringent security arrangements and reviewed the administrative matters relating to the Registry on Saturday here, Geo News reported.

Sources said that a smart contingent of Lahore police presented an impressive guard of honour, while the police band played the national songs at the arrival of CJP Justice Tasadduq Hussain Jillani at the SC Lahore Registry here.

The city administration has made elaborate security arrangements, as the Lahore SC Registry and its surrounding areas were got cleared by the sniffer dogs, while the road leading to SC Registry was blocked for traffic by placing barriers besides heavy deployment of police made on Mall Road and other adjacent roads.

SC Lahore Registry staff lined up welcoming the new CJP Tassaduq Hussain Jillani and felicitated him on his assumption of office.
