LAHORE: Punjab, Khyber Pukhtunkhaw and several areas in Sindh remained blanketed with dense fogs blurring visibility that caused different traffic accidents killing four persons including three brothers on Tuesday morning, Geo News reported.
A truck rammed into a motorbike, which resulted in on the spot death of three brothers riding the motorbike on Shah Jamal Jatoi Road in Muzaffargarh, while one person was killed and three injured in traffic mishap on Khanewal Road near Jahanian due to poor visibility in thick blanket of fog.
Motorway M-11 has been closed from Bhera to Faisalabad and Lahore as the visibility in several cities of Punjab since early morning went to zero level.
The train service was equally affected due to fogs—Awam Express arrived Lahore late by seven hours and Jaffer Express by five hours causing great inconvenience to the passengers. Business Express and Karakuram Express were also late by three hours each.
While PIA eight flights were affected by the foggy weather.
