PESCO has become ‘donation box’: CJ PHC

PESHAWAR: Peshawar High Court (PHC) has declared fuel adjustment charges as illegal, Geo News reported.

Two-member bench headed by Chief Justice PHC Justice Dost Muhammad Khan was hearing case pertaining to fuel adjustment charges here on Tuesday.

During the proceeding, Justice Dost Muhammad remarked that under which law fuel adjustment charges are imposed. He said Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) has become a ‘donation box’, adding that even if transformer goes out of orders it is paid by the people to repair it.

He said according the record of PESCO and PEPCO 3-4 systems have become ineffective.
