We are ready to hand over PESCO’s control to Imran: Pervaiz Rasheed

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Pervaiz Rasheed Wednesday said the government was ready to hand over the control of Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan.

In a statement, the Minister however appreciated Imran Khan’s intention of not demanding a mid-term election in the country, terming it a positive gesture from the cricketer-turned-politician.

Rasheed said he had already predicted that PIT’s rally will remain confined to Mall Road.

On the ongoing trial of former president Gen (retd) Pervez Musharraf, he said Pervez Musharraf’s fate is now in the court’s hands.

He said gone are the days when governments used to be dislodged through dictatorial acts. “The present government has come to power through votes,” he added.
