Two including cop succumb to Karachi sectarian violence

KARACHI: Two people including a policeman succumbed to sectarian violence here on Saturday night, Geo News reported.

According to sources, three armed bikers opened fire on Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) leader, Mirza Yousaf’s car at Rado Stop in Gulistan-e-Jauhar Block 12 killing two of the three persons in the car.

Yousaf was not in the car by the time of the attack.

Police say the incident was another act of sectarian violence.

It was later revealed that one of the deceased was Yousaf’s friend while the other was a cop deployed for his security.

Another policeman also sustained injuries in the shooting. The dead and the injured were shifted to hospital.

It must be noted that Mirza Yosuaf and his son have already survived a similar attempt on life.
