CID cops neutralize three TTP terrorists in Karachi
KARACHI: Crime Investigation Department (CID) of Karachi police early Thursday morning claimed killing a trio of suspected outlaws belonging to banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), Geo News reported.

"The policemen, who busted a terrorist hideout in Mangho Pir area, following a promising lead, were met with heavy armed resistance", said Chaudhry Aslam, a senior CID official.

The suspected extremist militants, who were armed to the teeth fought with the police fiercely and exhausted all their ammo, which let the CID men take charge, Aslam said further.

“The shots fired by the cops left the terrorists seriously wounded and they were immediately rushed to a hospital where they were pronounced dead", said Chaudhry Aslam, a senior CID official.

They died of excessive bleeding from multiple bullet wounds on the way to the emergency room, the hospital sources told Geo News.

He said the slain felons were cop-killers and wanted for multiple counts of murder and extortion.

Aslam also revealed that this successful encounter headed off a major terror bid as cops seized a car-load of explosives along with a huge cache of firearms after thoroughly searching the den.

A policeman also sustained injuries in the armed encounter, he added.
