ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has directed the government to immediately provide a bulletproof car to former Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry on Wednesday, Geo News reported.
IHC judge Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui heard the petition pertaining to security of former Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Chaudhry and was filed by Advocate Sheikh Ahsanuddin.
In his verdict, Justice Shaukat Siddiqui said the former chief justice should be provided security equivalent to former prime ministers and should be provided a bullet-proof vehicle today.
The order further stated that the former CJP’s family will also be entitled to use the secured vehicle.
