PIA air hostess, husband detained for human trafficking

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Thursday took six human traffickers including a PIA airhostess in custody from different parts of the country.

The FIA apprehended Ahtesham-ud-Din, a travel agent in Mardan and already enlisted in Exit Control List (ECL), who was traveling to Dubai via PIA flight PK-741 and his wife Amna Shahid, a PIA air hostess due to her alleged involvement in human trafficking along with her husband.

Ehtesham was trying to flee to Jeddah via Dubai.

Meanwhile the FIA also held two human traffickers Qamar Abbas and Iqbal from Kharian and Gujarat who were also included in the Red Book.

They were allegedly involved in sending the people to Greece and France on fake and stolen residential cards.

Similarly, FIA conducted a raid at a printing press in Gwalmandi, Lahore and recovered fake passports, stamps of several departments and important documents.

The investigation agency also arrested the printing press owner and one other individual.
