NEW YORK: UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon, while condemning recent terrorist attacks in Pakistan, has reaffirmed the UN support to the efforts of the government to combat terrorism and extremism.
In a statement in New York, Ban expressed heart felt condolences to the government and the people of Pakistan on the loss of precious lives in the incidents of terrorism in Quetta Karachi and Rawalpindi.
The World Body chief said these attacks are unacceptable as these hamper the government’s efforts to promote peace in the country and eradicate polio disease. (PPI)
