BHC orders govt to allow Shahzain to enter Dera Bugti with IDPs

QUETTA: The Balochistan High Court has ordered the government to allow Shahzain Bugti, a grandson of Baloch leader Nawab Akbar Bugti, to enter Dera Bugti along with internally displaced people of the area.

The orders came as a BHC bench headed by Justice Jamal Mandokhel heard a plea filed by Shazian Bugti.

After hearing arguments from both sides, the court ordered the government and local administration to make arrangements for phase-to-phase entry of Bugti refugees after scanning of 100 people on daily basis.

The court also ordered the applicant and refugees to cooperate with the administration.

Earlier, Sohail Rajput, a counsel for Shahzain Bugti told the court that the Bugti refugees were returning to their homes after 2005.

Advocate general Balochistan said that the settlement of the refugees was not normal as ground reality and Constitutional issues needed to be taken into consideration in this regard. He said the government was facing difficulties in scanning the large number of people.
