HYDERABAD: Muhammad Khan Junejo, a Pakistan People’s Party leader, chaired an illegal Jirga to decide double murder case.
The Jirga was held to decide fate of people involved in the double murder of a girl and boy over love marriage.
The Jirga headed by Junejo imposed fine of Rs2.5 million each on the accused belonging to the girl’s family for allegedly killing the couple.
A Rs600,000 fine was also imposed on boy’s family for what it said taking the girl away against the wish of her family.
The PPP leader said it was their right to hold the Jirga to decide the case.
